2023 Year In Review

Well, it's another year in the books! One of my traditions here at Sweet Softies is doing a "year in review" post at the end of each year. I must say - it's been another year of such fun and happenings!

Let's take a look...

Here are some SWEET SOFTIES highlights:

I hosted my sixth ever Creator Challenge, featuring Betty the Butterfly this year. It was so much fun and I can't believe that 41 butterflies were created from around the world during the short time that I ran the challenge! Each butterfly was amazingly unique, and you can check out the Creator Challenge Results in more detail.
I started using Ko-Fi last year and it's still going strong!
I authored my very first children's book, which was published in November. Check out my blog post about the Lunar New Year Surprise!
We are expecting a new member of the family joining us in 2024! To prepare, I got Lena the New Sibling Course Pack (read about it here).
The support that I received on social media continues to blow my mind! My FB page has 20k followers, my FB group has 18k members, my Youtube Channel has 82k subs, and my Instagram has 17.6k followers. (At this time last year, my following was 19k on FB, 17.7k in my FB group, 40.6k on YouTube, and 10.6k on Instagram.) Thank you all for liking my work!

Thinking about this year in review really takes me back to each of these events that occurred. It's such a humbling experience for me to be able to accomplish these things, and I thank all my fellow crocheters and followers for supporting me through this journey!

Before I wrap this up, here's a quick round-up of the crochet designs that I have published this year~

2023 Pattern Round-Up!

I released 43 patterns this year, with over half of them being free patterns on my blog and/or YouTube channel! In the past, I've had a wide variety of amigurumi, clothing, home decor, and accessories, but this year I've had a lot more amigurumi!

I just love offering free patterns to share on my blog because I get to see more finished products from my designs! It's always a joy for me to get a tag on Instagram or Facebook of others' projects made using my patterns.
