2022 Year in Review

Well, it's another year in the books! One of my traditions here at Sweet Softies is doing a "year in review" post at the end of each year.  I must say - it's been another year of such fun and happenings!

Let's take a look...

Here are some SWEET SOFTIES highlights:

  • I hosted my fifth ever Creator Challenge, featuring Tori the Turtle this year. It was so much fun and I can't believe that 45 turtles were created from around the world during the short time that I ran the challenge!  Each turtle was amazingly unique, and you can check out the Creator Challenge Results in more detail.
  • I started using Ko-Fi this year and met my first goal in late November, which was $45 to get baking aprons for my daughter and myself! I'm getting us ready to create some vegan and kid-friendly baking recipes to share on my YouTube channel. Thank you so much for the support in helping us get the aprons!
  • I became a Lovevery ambassador, which is huge for me because I am a huge fan of their thoughtfully-designed, educational play kits! I've made a few reviews of their play kits on my blog so far, including a review of The Observer (37-39 months), review of The Enthusiast (28-30 months), and review of The Investigator (31-33 months).
  • The support that I received on social media continues to blow my mind!  My FB page has 19k followers, my FB group has 17.7k members, my Youtube Channel has 40.6k subs, and my Instagram has 10.6k followers.  (At this time last year, my following was 19k on FB, 17.3k in my FB group, 26.8k on YouTube, and 7.6k on Instagram.)  Thank you all for liking my work!

Thinking about this year in review really takes me back to each of these events that occurred.  It's such a humbling experience for me to be able to accomplish these things, and I thank all my fellow crocheters and followers for supporting me through this journey!

Before I wrap this up, here's a quick round-up of the crochet designs that I have published this year~

2022 Pattern Round-Up!

I released 30 patterns this year, and 24 of them are free patterns available on my blog!  Some of those free patterns are listed in its entirety for free on my blog, while others have added bonuses that come with the PDF pattern purchase.  In the past, I've had a wide variety of amigurumi, clothing, home decor, and accessories, but this year it has mostly been just amigurumi and accessories (e.g., bags, hair accessories, etc)!

I just love offering free patterns to share on my blog because I get to see more finished products from my designs!  It's always a joy for me to get a tag on Instagram or Facebook of others' projects made using my patterns.  If you'd like to show appreciation, I'd love if you can check out my 5 Ways to Support my Blog post.

Anyhow, below are the designs I've published for this calendar year!  You can click on the image to navigate to the pattern page.

Again, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for liking my work, sticking around, and letting me share my joys in crocheting and creating!

I wish you all a happy, warm, and loving winter holiday and Happy New Year!  See you in 2023!

With utmost gratitude,
