Let's crochet a beautiful floral face scrubby together!  If you're into eco-friendly crafts, useful handmade items, or thoughtful gifts to make, you're going to love this free pattern.  It's a textured washcloth or "cotton round" that is designed to look like a flower!

Difficulty

This quick and easy beginner friendly project works up in minutes. It’s no-sew as it’s made in one piece. It comes with a complete video tutorial on the Sweet Softies YouTube channel, so beginners can follow along with confidence.

Use

If desired, this multi-use design can also be a coaster or circle mug rug.  It'd be a great handmade piece to pair with a mug as a gift.  This pattern can also be used as a floral applique to attach to other projects, such as bags, purses, blankets, hats, and more.

Eco-Friendly

Since these scrubbies are reusable and washable, they’re wonderful replacements for disposable cotton face rounds. Minimize your carbon footprint on Earth while creating beautiful, handmade products for self-care and pampering!

Yarn

The recommended yarn would be a medium weight 100% cotton yarn.  Cotton has great absorbency compared to other types of fibers, so they're idea for use as scrubbies.  I used Lily Sugar n' Cream yarn, as well as Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn.  I found both to be great options as they're absorbent, durable, and have beautiful stitch definition!

This project doesn't use up a whole lot of yardage, so they can be great stash busters if you have some extra cotton yarn lying around.  If you're trying to make a cup coaster with this pattern instead, acrylic and other standard fibers can work well too!

Gifting & Selling

These scrubbies also make excellent gifts for many occasions.  They are great as a Mother's Day gift, birthday gift, end-of-the-year Teacher Appreciation gift, retirement gift, or a "just because" gift for anyone who could use a pick-me-up.  Maybe you have a coworker or colleague you'd like to thank?  Combine it with a facial cleanser or cute bar of soap, and it'll make a lovely present!

If you're a market vendor, you'll want to stock up on some fast and easy makes.  This pattern looks great, is functional, and make wonderful gifts, so that earns them extra points for craft fair customers.  You can tie a bundle of these up and sell them in a pack!
