1-Minute Crochet Flower

If you're looking for a quick and easy mini flower applique to add to your amigurumi or crochet projects, you've come to the right place!

LINKS

  • Watch the video tutorial here
  • Save this pattern on Ravelry or Pinterest here

This mini flower is no-sew, beginner-friendly, and so fast to work up. It literally takes me a minute to make.  With medium weight yarn and a 4mm hook, it comes out to be approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) across in size.

Materials

You can use scrap yarn for this project. Cotton and acrylic fibers are recommended, though any type of yarn can work (with the exception of some specialty yarns, like faux fur). Simply use a suitable hook size for your yarn, and you'll be golden!

Other than yarn, you'll just need a pair of scissors to fasten off, and a yarn needle if you'd like to sew it onto something else. Hot glue also works great, depending on what you're attaching it to (e.g., cardstock paper as a beautiful greeting card).

Uses

There are dozens of ways to use these flowers! Be creative and let your yarny art side shine. Here are some ideas to get your creativity juices flowing:
  • Add these flowers to paper cards
  • Make a flower crown or flower hair accessory for your amigurumi dolls
  • Attach to a hair clip or hair tie
  • Add as an applique or embellishment to your crochet projects (looks great on wearables and accessories, such as bags)
