A lot of you know that I have an affinity for the cottagecore aesthetic, so... here's a little something that speaks to it! Check out my latest design, the Floral Mushroom Pouch!
LINKS
The Floral Mushroom Pouch is an adorable little crossbody bag adorned with flowers. It can hold small trinkets and tiny treasures when exploring the forest. It’s nifty, eco-friendly, and useful for holding little essentials too, such as mints, lip balm or chapstick, and hand sanitizer. The length of the straps can be easily adjusted to be long for a bag or necklace, or short to attach as a purse or backpack accessory.
Look at how the top comes up to reveal the bag's opening!
About the Pattern
- No-sew bag pattern
- Sewing involved if you want to add the flowers and embroidery details
- Easy / beginner-friendly
- Fast to work up
- Easily adjustable strap length (Shorter strap: backpack accessory or keychain. Longer strap: necklace or bag.)
- Stashbuster project; great for using up leftover yarn scraps
- Styles & aesthetic: whimsical, fantasy, cottagecore, fairy, woodland
- Perfect birthday gift or Christmas holiday gift for mushroom lovers
Yarn
This pattern is designed with medium weight #4 yarn for the bag and top, and with fingering weight #1 yarn for the flowers and embroidery details. You're welcome to experiment with other yarn weights and fibers, though the recommendation is the use a thicker yarn for the bag itself, and a thinner yarn for the flower details.
