I've been on a kick with making fast amigurumis! I recently designed the 10-Minute Baby Birds, and then shared my 15-Minute Bunny. Now, meet the 20-Minute Panda Bear!
LINKS
The 20-minute Panda Bear is a no-sew amigurumi pattern that works up very fast! This panda can easily be customized to be a teddy bear by using different yarn colors, such as brown for the entire project. You can also turn it into a keychain by sewing a keyring to the top of its head.
About the Pattern
- No-sew
- Easy / beginner-friendly
- Works up quickly (takes me less than 20 minutes for one!)
- Stashbuster project; great for using up leftover yarn scraps
- Can be turned into a keychain
- Available as a FREE video tutorial
Uses
There are many ways to make use of this pattern, such as:
- Keychain: add a keyring
- Class Valentine's Day Present: with only 20 minutes needed for each bear, you can whip up a little crew for your child's entire class in no time!
- Easter Gift: perfect as a non-candy surprise to hide in plastic Easter eggs, or to add to your little one's Easter basket
- Gift: for family and friends as a birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift
- "Pocket pal" or fidget: suitable as a portable therapy aid or security toy for kids
- Craft fair product: sell it at markets; it's the perfect market prep pattern to work up because it's quick and easy. Add it to your bargain basket or claw machine!
Yarn
This pattern is designed with super bulky weight chenille velvet yarn. I used Hobbii's Honey Bunny yarn, which produces a plush amigurumi! If you'd like a smaller version of this pattern, you're welcome to use thinner yarns and a smaller hook.
Other Keychain Patterns
I'm making a whole series of these quick, no-sew animals! So far, I have the 10-Minute Baby Bird as well, which is a free PDF pattern download on my blog. Be sure to check it out if you'd like to make a cute dove, chick, duck, or other bird! There's also the 15-Minute Bunny, which is another free no-sew pattern.
