The Perfect Egg is a quick, easy, and no-sew project for crocheting a realistic egg shape out of yarn. This beginner friendly amigurumi project is ideal as Easter decor for wreaths, or to embellish Easter baskets. It can be easily customized with different yarn color combinations, or decorated with embroidered details, buttons, appliques, and other embellishments. It’s also great as a market prep product for Spring craft fairs.

Uses
There are many ways to make use of this pattern, such as:
- Keychain: add a keyring
- Pretend play food item: add it to your child's toy kitchen!
- Easter Gift: perfect as a non-candy addition to Easter baskets or as Easter decor
- Craft fair product: ideal for Spring markets; make them in various color combinations as an eye-catching product
Yarn
This pattern is designed with medium weight 4 yarn. I used Hobbii's Friends Cotton 8/8 yarn, which produces a sturdy result with clear stitch definition.
Vegan Alternative
If you go with a 100% cotton white, off-white, or cream/beige yarn, you can easily paint on the surface. It works very well as a cruelty-free and eco-friendly alternative to painting chicken eggs during the Easter holiday! I recommend using watercolor paints, acrylic, or fabric paints.
