Bunny Puff · Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Get ready for the Easter season with this adorable, no-sew, fast, and easy crochet pattern! Best of all, it's free!

The Bunny Puff amigurumi pattern is no-sew, beginner friendly, and quick to work up. It’s similar to the squishy marshmallow Easter Peeps candy, but cuter and more 3D!

About the Pattern

  • No-sew
  • Easy / beginner-friendly
  • Works up quickly (takes me less than 25 minutes for one!)
  • Stashbuster project; great for using up leftover yarn scraps
  • Suitable to make into a keychain
  • Available as a FREE video tutorial

There are many ways to make use of this pattern, such as:
  • Keychain: add a keyring
  • Class Valentine's Day Present: since this is a fast project, you can whip up a little herd of bunnies for your child's entire class in no time!
  • Easter Gift: perfect as a non-candy surprise to hide in plastic Easter eggs, or to add to your little one's Easter basket
  • Gift: for family and friends as a birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift
  • "Pocket pal" or fidget: suitable as a portable therapy aid or security toy for kids
  • Craft fair product: sell it at markets; it's the perfect market prep pattern to work up because it's quick and easy. Add it to your bargain basket or claw machine!
  • Random Act of Kindness: want to crochet this for charity or as a random act of crochet kindness? It'll be so fun to hide these bunny puffs around the community. Imagine the delight that people will experience when they discover this sweet sprinkle of joy.

This pattern is designed with super bulky weight chenille velvet yarn. I used Hobbii's Honey Bunny yarn, which produces a soft and plush amigurumi! If you'd like a smaller version of this pattern, you're welcome to use thinner yarns and a smaller hook. Using other types of fibers can produce a different look as well! For instance, cotton and acrylic yarns tend to result in crisp and clear stitch definition.

Add some embellishments to your little rabbit to make it extra fancy (and unique)!  I have some of these little appliques laying around, and I think they're all quite fitting.  Some ideas include:
      • Bows for the ears or as bowties
      • Roses to make a flower crown
      • Single flowers by the ear
      • Buttons
      • Beads
      • ...and more!
