Daiyu the Dragon · Part 4 · Creator Challenge 2024

Welcome to Sweet Softies' seventh annual Creator Challengefeaturing Daiyu the Dragon!  He's an adorable little jade dragon that is designed to be a fun crochet project that you can easily customize with different color combinations, creative details, and more.  If you haven't already, check out the Intro Page for rules and important information about this Creator Challenge.

For this section, we will be crocheting the dragon's tail and working on the finishing instructions!

Don't want to wait for all CAL instructions? Prefer a written pattern over video instructions? Want photo references? Want to also make the webbed ear option (instead of only the free, no-sew ear option)? Want the printable, ad-free, and easy-to-read PDF pattern?

If so, you can purchase the PDF pattern from my store to get it as an instant download. Thank you for supporting Sweet Softies!

Part 4: Tail & Finishing

If you haven't already, check out last week's post for the body and wings!

Written Pattern

The written pattern instructions will be available at a later date. For the Creator Challenge, please watch the video tutorial (below) for this section.

Depending on how you arrange your dragon's body parts when finishing, you can have a standing dragon, or one that curls up perfectly in your palms!

Let's start the video for Part 4!

Want your friends to join in on this fun Creator Challenge too?  The more, the merrier!  Share this post and spread the joy of crocheting!

Happy crafting!
