Want the video version for this part instead? Watch it here!

Intro

Tori the Turtle is a quick and beginner friendly amigurumi pattern. This little sea animal can stand on its own and makes a great desk buddy or keychain accessory. Customize it with different yarn colors, fibers, and weights (try it with velvet or blanket yarn!) or with embellishments such as buttons, bows, bow ties, or flowers. It makes a great craft fair product, as well as a birthday or holiday gift for both children and adults!

Planning Sheet

If you're like me and you have a hard time visualizing how your turtle will look in the end with your favorite color combination, you can download the Planning Sheet below.  I find it to be a helpful tool!

All you need to do is color in your turtle with your preferred colors, find the corresponding yarn color/brand, and (optional!) glue or tape down small snippets of the yarn sample.  If you'd like to add embellishments to your turtle, such as a pretty hairpiece or accessory, you can also draw it in!

Here's an example that I did digitally, since I don't have access to a working printer. It's my completed sheet for Tori.

Well, shall we start?  Let's get coloring!  Don't forget to share your photos in the Sweet Softies FB Group!
