Ribbed Turban with Bow · Easy Beginner Crochet Pattern

Hello my fellow crocheters,

I'm thrilled to share with you my Ribbed Turban with Bow pattern, which is available in all head sizes!

This is an extension of the FREE Ribbed Baby Turban pattern (which includes both the free written pattern and video tutorial, but instead of including only the newborn size, I have decided to add instructions for other sizes.

Sizes include:

  • Newborn (0-3 months)
  • Baby (6-12 months)
  • Toddler
  • Child
  • Teen
  • Adult

The PDF pattern includes easy instructions to show you how to adjust the hat's size.  Thus, you can use this same pattern to make a hat for you and your family!  (Imagine how cute a Mommy and Me turban set would be, or matching sister hats!)

This is a very versatile pattern that allows you to use any yarn, whether it's light or bulky, velvet or acrylic.  All you need is a suitable hook size for the weight of yarn you're using, because the number of rounds and stitches depend on how large your piece is coming out to be.  It'll be helpful to follow my Hat Sizing & Measurements Reference Chart (free printable).

In a nutshell, this project is...

  • Quick to work up
  • Beginner-friendly
  • Trendy and fashionable
  • Customizable into any head size ranging from newborn to adult
  • Versatile and can be made with different types of yarn weights, fibers, colors, and crochet hook sizes
  • Great as gifts or craft fair items

If you like this design of mine, you can PIN it for later on your Crochet board.
