Snuggle Stuffies · Amigurumi Crochet Doll Patterns

Dear fellow crocheters,

I just finished designing a new collection of amigurumi dolls, and they're called the Snuggle Stuffies!

Links:

Features

All the Snuggle Stuffies are designed with their legs attached to the front of their bodies, allowing them to sit on their bottoms quite nicely.  You can also pose the doll in other ways, such as laying down and letting the legs stretch long.

The legs (and if applicable, tail) are attached to the body through crochet methods, so there is less sewing required for this project!  I always try to utilize no-sew techniques whenever possible.

Yarn Used

All of the Snuggle Stuffies are made using Hobbii's Baby Snuggle Yarn, which is chenille velvet and allows you to crochet amigurumi quickly and easily! If you would like to substitute it with a different yarn, some choices include blanket yarn, polyester, fleece, or other super bulky weight yarn.  Of course, you can use other types of fibers too, such as regular acrylic or cotton yarns.  If you use medium weight yarn, you'll create a smaller version of these plush dolls, but I know they'll be just as cute!

I did write up a Baby Snuggle Yarn Review if you'd like to get more information on this super soft and plush yarn!

Mix-and-Match Outfits

Since all three dolls have the same head shape and body size, the three patterns can be mixed and matched to create your own special design!  For instance, you can make a bunny rabbit in overalls, or a kitty cat in a dress.  You can also add the removable hood to any of the outfits.

Customization & Gifting

Customization is easy with this pattern, as you can use different yarn colors and add your own embellishments to make the dolls unique. Hooded Hiro and Ollie in Overalls are unisex and gender neutral toys, suitable for both boys and girls. Don't be afraid to unleash your creative freedom as well!  Mix and match the different outfits and ear shapes to create your own special doll.

The Snuggle Stuffies make great birthday gifts, holiday gifts, or baby shower gifts.  Children of all ages will adore a handmade present like this.

Size

The sizes of these dolls are relatively similar. They are about 12 inches (30 cm) in height without counting in the ears.  A good size to snuggle and cuddle with!

Level

The level for this project is suitable for familiar beginners or intermediate crocheters, as it involves familiarity with basic amigurumi and crochet stitches, changing yarn colors, attaching yarn, and sewing parts together.

Snuggle Stuffies

Without further ado, let's take a look at the members of the Snuggle Stuffies below!  Click on the image or name to view their pattern pages on my blog.

Ollie in Overalls

Ollie in Overalls (PDF pattern here) features a kitty cat wearing a simple and minimalist pair of overalls!

Della in a Dress

Della in a Dress (PDF pattern here) features a sweet bunny rabbit who wears a bow on her head and a classic English outfit.  Her dress has an overalls style along with a ruffled skirt with lace edging.  She wears a long-sleeved shirt underneath the dress, along with stockings and shoes.  You can also include a Peter Pan collar around her neck for some extra cuteness!

Hooded Hiro

Hooded Hiro (PDF pattern here) is a cute puppy dog doll that wears a hoodie sweatshirt!  The hood itself can be removable.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you will enjoy these designs!  If you have any ideas on new amigurumi dolls you'd like to see in the future, feel free to make your suggestions in the comments below!

Warm wishes,
