Invisible Color Change (Crochet Video Tutorial)

For those of you who make amigurumi or crochet toys, you're often crocheting in the round.  Color changes can be quite tricky when working in a continuous spiral, especially if your goal is to make the change look even and not sudden, like this regular, ol' color change...

To avoid that uneven look, you can use a technique called the Invisible Color Change!  It looks much improved, don't you think?

This is actually a super quick and easy method that only requires the hook you're using and scissors (which you'll have around handy anyway for fastening off pieces and such).  Check out my video tutorial below on how to do it!

After practicing it once or twice, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it!  I use this technique exclusively with my amigurumi now for some even and beautiful color changes!

If you're looking for some ami-inspiration to try this skill on, check out several of my free amigurumi designs below.  Or, you can check out all of my Amigurumi Patterns here!

Thank you for reading, and happy crocheting!

Warm wishes,
