Whimsy the Witch (Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern) - Baby Bean Doll Base Variation

Whimsy is a little, grey-and-pink witchie that loves to fly off into the night, cast spells, cause some mischief, and paint the town her favorite color – pink!

This mini witch is a variation of my Baby Bean (free amigurumi pattern):

The instructions for Whimsy include:
  • Body base color changes, using the free Baby Bean Doll Base pattern
  • Dress and collar
  • Witch hat
  • Hair cap
  • Hair tutorial for attaching braids (available in PDF pattern file only)
  • Broomstick (available in PDF pattern file only)

This pattern can easily be adapted to create a wizard, similar to Hermoine from Harry Potter, or a school girl with that cute collar and uniform!  Either way, this little witchie gives off a "spooky cute" Halloween feel and is perfect for those who love the kawaii pastel goth aesthetic!

~ FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS ~

  1. Sew the collar around the doll’s neck. The dip in the middle should go in the front of the doll, and the two ends of the collar should be sewn to the back of the neck.
  2. Add hair to the doll's cap, then sew the cap onto the doll's head.  The written/photo Hair Tutorial for Whimsy is available in the PDF pattern file.  I also have a blog post tutorial on adding hair.
  3. If desired, add blush to cheeks using my tips and video tutorial.
  4. Give your witch her little hat and broom, and she is all set to go!
