Bluebell Bunny · Amigurumi Crochet Pattern (Free Carrot Bag!)

Look who has hopped in! It's the Bluebell Bunny, one of my larger amigurumi dolls at 17 inches (43 cm) in height!  She's huggable, lovable, and oh-so-cute!

Want to see her in action? Check out Bluebell's pattern preview video.

Bluebell's design features:

  • Puffy short-sleeved dress
  • Flared out skirt with lace details at the edging
  • Rounded dress collar ("Peter Pan style collar!")
  • Laced shoes
  • Short, white socks
  • Two-toned hair bow for the ear
  • Cute carrot crossbody bag
  • Unique style combination of woodland, rustic, minimalist, simple, sweet, and classic themes

While Bluebell's design is minimalist and classic, her small details are not to be overlooked.  Pay attention to the clean edging of her sleeves and socks, designed with a special combination of amigurumi stitches and techniques.  The thought-out elements of her outfit, such as the lacy edges and rounded collar, are also part of her refined appeal.

This sweet doll makes a great gift for birthdays, holidays, or as craft fair products.  Children will love playing with Bluebell. Little girls can enjoy the play features of her removable accessories (bow and pouch), and even hide a surprise in Bluebell’s purse.

Why isn't this pattern 100% free on the Sweet Softies blog?

Most of my patterns are written in full for free on my blog, but this pattern is an exception. I have a part of it for free on my blog as a preview, but for the full design, I have decided to make it a premium pattern due to the level of complexity needed for writing this pattern. I have been struggling to keep my blog running with free patterns, so I hope you can understand my decision to release this as a paid pattern. (If you'd like to learn more, you can read my post: What Breaks My Heart as a Crochet Designer, or check out my page on How to Support my Blog!)
