Granny Square Necklace · Free Crochet Pattern

If you're yarn-obsessed like me and looking for a fun way to add some yarn into your outfit, I've got the perfect pattern for you! Check out this cute Granny Square Pouch Necklace, which you can crochet from start to finish in just a little over 30 minutes!

LINKS

The Granny Square Necklace is a cute little pouch made with just two granny squares! It's a quick, easy, and no-sew accessory that features a floral daisy square. It can be customized wtih different yarn colors, weights, fibers, or even different variations of granny squares.

You can crochet it as a necklace, or easily customize it to make a shorter loop. A shorter loop (see my sample below) makes a great keychain charm! It adds a beautiful touch of crochet to any outfit, purse, backpack, or accessory.

Yarn

The pattern is designed using medium weight 4 yarn, but thinner weights can be used to create smaller and daintier-looking granny squares! In terms of fiber, I recommend cotton yarns because they are sturdy and durable, and won't stretch out of shape as much as acrylic or wool. My favorite yarn for this project would be 24/7 Cotton, which is a 100% mercerized cotton yarn that has a pretty sheen and comes in many colors.
