Recommended Yarn
Peter the Puppy was designed with Hobbii Toucan Fine yarn, which is a medium weight chenille velvet yarn. I love that it's plush but also on the thinner side, so that the amigurumi comes out small and delicate! This pattern can also be crocheted with other medium weight yarns, such as acrylic or cotton yarns for crisp stitch definition. Or, for a larger version, try super bulky weight plush yarn.
My worsted weight yarn recommendations are:
- Lion Brand Heartland (100% acrylic with beautiful, heathered yarn)
- Lion Brand's 24/7 Cotton Yarn (100% cotton and will produce crisp stitch definition)
- Brava Worsted or Caron Simply Soft (100% acrylic, sturdy, and pretty good bang for your buck!)
Uses
- Toy for children to play with
- Selling at craft fairs, markets, or boutiques
- Birthday gift or Christmas holiday gift for toddlers, preschoolers, and kids
- Christmas stocking stuffer
