Peter the Puppy · Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Hello my fellow amigurumi enthusiasts! If you love amigurumi play sets, you might enjoy this one. It's a low-sew design featuring Peter the Puppy!

Links

Peter the Puppy is an adorable amigurumi dog doll. This crochet play set comes with the doll, removable overalls, a square blanket, and a Moses basket to sleep in. This stuffed animal toy offers pretend play fun for toddlers and kids. It is a gender neutral and unisex project, making it a great gift for boys and girls alike. It can be a birthday gift, Christmas holiday present, stocking stuffer, or craft fair product.

Peter's crochet pattern includes:
  • Peter the Puppy doll
  • Removable overalls
  • Blanket
  • Moses basket

About the Pattern

  • Low-sew doll (sewing is only required for attaching the ears to the head)
  • Lots of pretend play and dress-up fun
  • Giftable and cute
  • Height of doll: 5.5 inches
  • Intermediate pattern, suitable for crocheters familiar with making amigurumi dolls
  • Style tags: whimsical, waldorf, pretend play, animal, woodland, fairytale

Recommended Yarn

Peter the Puppy was designed with Hobbii Toucan Fine yarn, which is a medium weight chenille velvet yarn. I love that it's plush but also on the thinner side, so that the amigurumi comes out small and delicate! This pattern can also be crocheted with other medium weight yarns, such as acrylic or cotton yarns for crisp stitch definition. Or, for a larger version, try super bulky weight plush yarn.

My worsted weight yarn recommendations are:

Uses

  • Toy for children to play with
  • Selling at craft fairs, markets, or boutiques
  • Birthday gift or Christmas holiday gift for toddlers, preschoolers, and kids
  • Christmas stocking stuffer
