If you love snugglers, you'll love this amigurumi! This is my newest pattern design, the Flying Squirrel Snuggler!
The Flying Squirrel Snuggler is an adorable amigurumi that is almost no-sew (except to attach the head to the body). Its floppy, unstuffed body makes it the perfect lovey for little ones to cuddle and play with. This versatile pattern can also make a sugar glider by using different yarn colors.
It is very posable as a prop for cute, newborn photoshoots, or as nursery room decor. It’s also a lovely birthday gift, baby shower gift, or Christmas holiday gift for babies, toddlers, and kids. It can be a great addition to any market or craft fair booth.
About the Pattern
- Low-sew doll (sewing is only required for attaching the ears to the head)
- Fast and easy project
- Length: 12 inches
Recommended Yarn
This pattern was designed with Lion Brand Yarn's Feels like Bliss Yarn, which is a faux fur yarn that makes a wonderfully soft and furry stuffed animal! Blanket yarn or chenille velvet yarn can also be used for a plush look.
What I would NOT recommend is a thinner weight yarn, such as worsted weight or DK, in cotton, acrylic, or wool fibers. The reason for that is because this snuggler would come out stiffer and too small to really "snuggle" with!
Uses
- Heating pad (add a cloth sack of dry flaxseed or rice inside the body before you crochet it closed, and you can microwave it to emit heat!)
- Plush toy for children to play with
- Security stuffy to comfort little ones
- Prop for newborn, baby, or kid photoshoots
- Nursery room decor
- Selling at craft fairs, markets, or boutiques
- Birthday gift, baby shower gift, or Christmas holiday gift for babies, toddlers, and kids
- Christmas stocking stuffer
