How to Shape Your Amigurumi's Face

Have you ever wondered how to make your amigurumi doll's face have a more "realistic" look?  For instance, indented eyes for teddy bears, and pointy, little snouts for foxes and pups?

If so, you'll want to try face-shaping techniques!  This is also known as "needle sculpting", where you're basically using some simple sewing skills to get your amigurumi's face to curve and form the way you'd like it to be shaped instead of leaving it a simple sphere.

This shaping technique is great for a variety of dolls, such as...
  • Humans
  • Bears
  • Bunnies and rabbits
  • Cats
  • Dogs
  • Foxes
  • Owls
  • ...and more!

Check out my free video tutorial to learn how to do this:

This is a great finishing technique to give your doll a professional look.  What's awesome is that this isn't difficult to do, so even beginners to crochet or knitted toys can use this method to create a more detailed project!

I hope you find my video tutorial to be helpful.  Happy crocheting!

Warm regards,
