Pattern Testers Wanted for the Rose Bonnet!

by - March 14, 2021

Dear fellow crocheters,

I'm on the lookout for a a few pattern testers who can help me out with testing my Rose Bonnet!

The pattern is written for all sizes, including: newborn, 6-12 month baby, toddler, child, and adult.

I've made it in the 6-12 month size, and would like testers to double check the other sizes.  If you're interested in doing so, please read the information below and find the link to apply!

What is pattern testing?

Pattern testing is big favor that I'm asking of interested crocheters to help me with, to make sure my pattern is well-written and clear before it gets published!

I'm a beginner. Can I test?

While I love beginners, I have a tight deadline to meet, so I will require experienced crocheters/testers for this.  If you are a beginner, I recommend taking your time and starting with beginner-friendly patterns without having that time constraint.  (Feel free to check out my free pattern page, which contains patterns that are mostly beginner-friendly!)

Which materials are needed for this test?

  • Light weight "3" yarn (Note: I used LB Collection® Cotton Bamboo Yarn in the color ‘Cherry Blossom.' You're free to use any yarn, as long as it's a weight 3.)
  • 6mm crochet hooks
  • Scissors

Basics about the Rose Bonnet:

  • Super quick pattern to work up!  This project is designed to be completed in one sitting.
  • No sewing (made entirely using crochet techniques)
  • Uses only basic stitches, including: magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet.

What are you looking for in a tester?

Interested and experienced crocheters are encouraged to sign up! As a tester, you will be expected to do the following:
  • Finish crocheting this project in one week of time. (Tester will be selected on 3/16, test deadline will be on 3/23.)
  • Read and understand written patterns in US Terminology
  • Proofread the written pattern for errors and typos
  • Provide feedback about the pattern, such as recommendations for improvement and double-check the product's finished size/dimensions
  • Take clear photos of the finished product under natural lighting
  • Allow me to share photos of your finished product on my blog and social media sites (I will credit you as the crocheter, of course!)
  • Be willing to share the photos on your own social media (Facebook, Instagram), a crochet page, and/or Ravelry

If you're ready to sign up to be a tester, click here or the form below!

Thank you so much for your offer to help me, and I look forward to selecting testers soon!

Best wishes,
