Christmas Mouse (Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern)

Hello my fellow crocheters,

Here's the awaited Christmas Mouse pattern that I finally finished writing up!

This design is a very special one, as it's a new and uniquely-designed ami ornament that I made for my baby girl's first Christmas.  Crocheting a tree ornament for her each year will be a tradition that I am starting, and if you'd like to know more, you can read about it here

Here's a look at it: a little mouse wearing a Santa hat and wrapped in a matching, red scarf.

I adore this design because it's...

  • Quick to work up
  • A fun Christmas craft
  • Super duper cute
  • Uses small amounts of yarn
  • Can be turned into a tree ornament

I especially like the mouse's double-layered ears, which is my new favorite method to crochet mouse and bunny ears.  I have some bunny designs coming up, by the way...stay tuned to see how I use the double-layered technique to portray those ears!

Here's a video preview of this design, if you'd like to see my little mouse in motion.
