Chinese Pixie Doll (Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern)

by - June 05, 2020

Dear fellow crocheters,

I'm excited to share with you my newest doll design, the Chinese Pixie!

The Chinese Pixie is an adorable, little fairy girl that is quick and easy to crochet. This sweet, East Asian doll wears her hair in two buns and two braids, making her look charming and playful.  She can easily be customized in many ways by using different yarn colors, making different hair styles, and adding embellishments such as beads, buttons, and appliques.

She looks lovely with or without her fairy wings!

This amigurumi doll is a fun toy for kids who love to play with small “pocket buddies”.  She also makes for a great birthday gift and Christmas or holiday present!

The Chinese Pixie is part of Sweet Softies' Pocket Pixie Series.  Below are some other members of the group.  Click here to see them all and get links to their free patterns!

~ FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS ~

  1. Stuff the head and body firmly, but be careful not to stretch the stitches.  Lightly stuff the hair buns.
  2. Sew the arms and legs to the body using a yarn needle and the long yarn tails.
  3. Follow my Hair Tutorial to add hair strands and bangs to your doll’s hair cap.  You will also be sewing the cap to your doll’s head.  After you attach the hair strands, you can braid them into two pigtails.
  4. Sew the hair buns to opposite sides of the hair cap.
  5. Sew the head to the body.
  6. With white yarn and a yarn needle, sew a “Y”-shaped collar to the doll’s dress, going around her neck.
  7. Sew the wings to the doll’s back.
  8. Lastly, add blush to cheeks using blush powder & q-tip.  Click here for a blush tutorial, or scroll down to watch the video tutorial.

And that's it!  Congratulations on finishing your sweet Chinese Pixie!
