Winter Explorer (Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern)

by - October 26, 2020

Dear fellow amigurumi enthusiasts,

I'm so thrilled to share with you another one of my holiday-themed dolls this year!  Here's my Winter Explorer doll, the newest member of the Pocket Pixies series.

This adorable, little girl wears a cozy, frost-colored outfit to keep her warm during the cold season.  Despite the chill, her favorite thing is to play in the snow and explore the white wonderland.

This amigurumi doll is a rather quick and easy pattern that can easily be customized with different yarn colors, hairstyles, embellishments, and more.

The Snowflake Queen, Christmas Elf, and Winter Explorer
(These three winter-themed dolls are all Pocket Pixies!)

I just love the addition of fluffy, white yarn for this little gal's outfit.  I think the texture really brings out a wintery look for her!  Doesn't it make this hood look especially warm?

I also think it looks quite lovely as a trim on her flared dress!

If you're wondering which yarn I used to create that effect, it's the Bernat Pipsqueak yarn in the color, "Whitey White"!

I also love adding blush to my dolls, as you know if you've been hanging out here on my blog!  It brings out a nice "pop" to her cheeks and makes her come to life.  If you'd like to know how to do this, check out my Adding Blush to Amigurumi tutorial!
