Briar Blue Beanie (Free Crochet Pattern)

Dear fellow crocheters,

I'm excited to share with you my Briar Blue Beanie!

It is a quick, easy, and unisex hat that is suitable for both men and women. The hat features a vertical ribbed look, followed by a horizontal brim.  It is done completely in one piece with joined rounds, and you can crochet it in one sitting.

It works up fast with medium weight yarn held doubled, and you can have lots of fun with mixing and matching two different colors!  I used Caron Simply Soft in "Royal Blue", along with Lion Brand Heartland in "Lake Clark".

The Briar Blue Beanie makes a perfect Christmas or winter holiday gift, or to sell at craft fairs!

By the way, for anyone who is making these hats for charity or for the #HatNotHate movement, I think the Briar Blue Beanie pattern makes for an excellent choice.  Be sure to check out Lion Brand Yarn's website for some wonderful choices in blue yarns and to read more about their "Hat Not Hate" initiative to increase awareness of the terrible impacts of bullying.

"With #HatNotHate Lion Brand Yarn hopes to increase awareness of the impact bullying has on children, teens, and adults by rallying together and crafting blue hats to proudly wear throughout the month of October, which is National Bullying Prevention Month."
