Face Scrubby (Free Crochet Pattern) - Tea Rose Spa Set, Part 1 of 4

Hello my fellow crocheters!

Here's my face scrubby design, and I'm pleased to share it with you!  It's part of my Tea Rose Spa Set, which includes three other free patterns.  Click the image below to see and read about the entire set!

The face scrubby, featured in this post, includes a special puff stitch worked in the round.  It's a super quick project that is easy and beginner-friendly.  Can you believe that it's crocheted in about 15-20 minutes?  Insane!  Take that for an instant-gratification project! :)

Since these face scrubbies don't use up a whole lot of yarn, they can be great stash busters if you have some extra cotton yarn lying around.  I for one used Lily Sugar n' Cream yarn for these scrubbies, and thought it was the perfect choice!  This yarn feels so durable and I think the texture works perfectly for a spa set.

Lily Sugar n' Cream yarn in the colors White, Camomile, and Tea Rose.

I must point out that these face scrubbies would make an excellent gift for so many occasions!  They're great as a Mother's Day gift, birthday gift, end-of-the-year Teacher Appreciation gift, retirement gift, or a "just because" gift for anyone who could use a pick-me-up.  Tie a bundle of them up, and they'd look lovely at a craft fair too!

What I also love about this project is the functionality of these face scrubbies, and how eco-friendly they are!  They're reusable and washable, and so there's no need to buy disposable cotton face rounds any longer.  Minimize your carbon footprint on the Earth while creating beautiful, handmade products for self-care and pampering!

If you'd like to download the beautifully-formatted, ad-free, and easy-to-read PDF version (see preview below), you can get it from my shop or Ravelry.  The PDF includes all four crochet patterns from the Tea Rose Spa Set.  If you are watching my Spa Set video tutorials, I recommend having the written instructions for ease of following along.  Thank you for supporting Sweet Softies designs!

Also, if you'd like to know how to actually use these face scrubbies, check out my demonstration video below!  I'm showing how I use the scrubby as a facial washcloth and also as a makeup remover pad.  (Note: to make the small strap, do not fasten off at the end of the pattern. Make a number of chains (however long you'd like the strap to be) and then sl st back into the same stitch. Fasten off and weave in the ends.)

Introduction:
The Tea Rose Spa Set is designed to pamper and invigorate the skin, body, mind, and spirit. This collection of reusable, eco-friendly skin care essentials and spa tools includes a crochet face scrubby (make up remover pad), bath pouf, soap saver pouch, and facial washcloth. All designs are quick and easy, and suitable for beginners. There is no sewing or attaching of pieces needed; all items are worked in one piece.
The face scrubby includes a special puff stitch worked in the round, and can be crocheted in 15-20 minutes! It can be a great stash buster if you have some extra cotton yarn lying around. The bath pouf (“loofah”) is very quick to work up as well, taking only about 45 minutes, and uses less than one full skein of the Lily Sugar n’ Cream yarn in this pattern. The mesh soap saver pouch (or, soap holder bag) has a nifty little drawstring that fits a standard bar of soap, and takes only 30 minutes to crochet. Lastly, the facial washcloth can be whipped up in an hour’s time, and features the beautiful – but oh, so easy – Suzette stitch!
This gift set is perfect as a Mother’s Day gift, birthday gift, teacher gift, retirement gift, or even an appreciation “thank you” gift for anyone that could use some pampering and self-care! They’re also great for selling at craft fairs.
