Name This Mermaid! Free CAL Coming Soon!

 


Dear fellow crocheters,

I'm excited to announce that Softies' second Creator Challenge will be coming very soon, and it'll be featuring this adorable baby mermaid amigurumi!

Before I release her pattern, I'm on a desperate hunt for a name!

I usually go with alliteration for naming, and was trying to decide on an M-initial name for this mermaid.  However, I found a few other aqua-related names that sound really beautiful, and now I have a tough time deciding!  

Here are the name choices that've caught my eye:

1. Marella
   Stylish and sophisticated Marella is the Japanese version of Muriel.  It means "star of the sea"; "of the bright and shining sea".
2. Delta
   The name Delta has a lazy, river like flowing feel, and a southern charm. Delta means "an area of land in which a river is divided into smaller rivers".
3. Coral
   Coral isn’t just a beautiful color name. It’s also the word for the beautiful underwater skeletal deposits that form reefs.

If you have any other name suggestions for this baby mermaid, I'd love to hear it!
