Tiny Baby Ice Cream Cone (Free Crochet Pattern)


Hello fellow crafters,

Do you adore miniature things like I do?  What about sweet treats?

What about... miniature sweet treats?!


Well, here's a little something for you! This is my Tiny Baby Ice Cream Cone, which is super quick to work up and beginner-friendly.  It's also perfect for your amigurumi doll or stuffed animal to hold!


My Little Red Pandora doll is a little too obsessed with this miniature ice cream.  She doesn't want to let go of it! 


This Tiny Baby Ice Cream Cone can make a pretty darn cute little keychain or charm as well. The possibilities are endless with flavors and toppings!

Introduction:
The Tiny Baby Ice Cream Cone is super quick to work up, beginner-friendly, and perfect for your amigurumi doll or stuffed animal to hold!  It can also make a pretty darn cute little keychain, necklace/bracelet charm, bag/purse charm, or even a food photo prop as well. The possibilities are endless with flavors and toppings.  Make this sweet summer dessert today!

Finished Measurement: 
  • 2-1/4 inches tall (approximately 6 cm) 

Level: 
  • Beginner. Requires familiarity with the stitches used (below) and sewing parts together.

Stitches/Terms Used (US Terminology):
  • MR: magic ring (a.k.a. magic circle, magic loop)
  • Ch: chain
  • Sl st: slip stitch
  • Sc: single crochet
  • Hdc: half double crochet
  • Inc: increase (insert two sc in one stitch)
  • FLO: front loops only 
Materials:


~ CROCHET INSTRUCTIONS ~

Cone 

Use brown yarn. 
R1: 4 sc in magic ring. (4 sts)
R2: (Sc, inc) x 2. (6 sts)
R3: (Sc 2, inc) x 2. (8 sts)
R4: (Sc 3, inc) x 2. (10 sts)
R5: (Sc 4, inc) x 2. (12 sts)
R6: (Sc 5, inc) x 2. (14 sts)
R7: (Sc 6, inc) x 2. (16 sts)
R8: (Sc 7, inc) x 2. (18 sts)
Fasten off with a long tail for sewing to the ice cream scoop later. 





Ice Cream Scoop 

Use ice-cream-colored yarn. (Have fun with different "flavors"!) 
R1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 sts)
R2: Inc around. (12 sts)
R3: (Sc, inc) x 6. (18 sts)
R4-R7: Sc 18. (18 sts)
R8: In FLO: (Sl st, 2 hdc in next st) x 6. (24 sts)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.







~ FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS ~

  1. Stuff both the cone and the ice cream scoop. 
  2. Using a yarn needle and the long tail from the cone, sew the two pieces together.  Go through the back loops of the last round of the ice cream scoop. 


That's it, you're done!
