Buttons, Buttons, Buttons!!

Buttons, buttons, buttons!

Can I just tell you how much I LOVE buttons?  It's another tiny treasure that I adore, as you can probably infer from an earlier post of mine about rose appliques!

I'm an exceptionally big sucker for wooden buttons and animal-shaped buttons.  Foxes are one of my favorite animals, and when I found that first set of fox buttons at my local craft store, I just couldn't resist not purchasing them!  Bears are a close favorite as well, so I splurged a little there!

As for the wooden buttons, those are actually a collection of various wooden buttons I have bought or collected from old clothing over the years.  There's something really pleasing and charming about the rustic quality of wooden buttons to me.  I love pairing them with my amigurumi projects.

Here are some affordable (but super cute) buttons that I really love! (You might need to temporarily disable ad blocking to view this section. It includes the buttons and prices through Amazon.com!)

My two babies below -- Fletcher the Fox, Brennan the Bear, and both sport wooden button joints.  I think it really adds a rustic feel to them, which I soooo love!

Anyhow, that's my little spiel about my button obsession!!

Some food for thought....
  • What are your favorite embellishments to add to crochet projects?
  • Do you have preferred types of buttons?
  • Is there a particular style that you gravitate towards? (e.g., rustic, folk, minimalistic, modern...?)
I'd love to hear from you!

Warm wishes,
