If you're seeking the perfect Christmas doll to crochet as eye-catching holiday decor or an amazing Christmas gift, you've come to the right page. Here's my Christmas Elf Ragdoll pattern, a classic doll that is sure to bring some festive vibes!
The Christmas Elf Ragdoll is a large, 15 inch plush doll that works up rather quickly. Its design features defined boots (realistic-looking feet with protruded toes), striped candy-cane socks, a festive outfit, and a classic Santa hat.
Here's a quick video preview~
Oh, and here's my 4-year-old cuddling the doll. Quite a large amigurumi, don't you think? It's a huggable size!
About the Pattern
- Height: 15 inches
- No-sew doll base (sewing only required for ears and hair cap)
- Suitable for intermediate crocheters
- Materials list and stitches/terms used can be found on the pattern page
- Pattern includes 60+ photos as part of a detailed photo tutorial to help guide you through the doll-making process
Recommended Yarn
This doll is designed using Hobbii Toucan Yarn, which is a super bulky weight 6 chenille velvet yarn. Blanket yarn is another option for a big plush! Alternatively, you can use thinner yarns like DK or worsted weight yarn for a smaller doll. My favorite medium yarns for amigurumi include Brava Worsted, Caron Simply Soft, and Lion Brand Heartland.
Uses
- Huggable plush for children to play with
- Selling at craft fairs, markets, or high-end boutiques
- Christmas holiday gift
- Christmas stocking stuffer
- An "elf on the shelf" crochet substitute!
