Hello my fellow amigurumi enthusiasts! Please welcome my newest low-sew design... Lady Catarina!
Lady Catarina is a low-sew amigurumi kitty cat doll pattern that stands at 8 inches in height. This doll set offers a lot of dress-up and pretend play fun for little girls and boys, and would make a lovely birthday gift or Christmas holiday present.
Catarina comes with removable clothing and accessories, including:
- Flower head accessory
- Lacy dress with collar
- Woven basket
- Pair of shoes with socks
About the Pattern
- Low-sew doll (sewing is only required for attaching the ears to the head)

Recommended Yarn
This pattern was designed with Yarn Bee Comfy Classic, which is a medium weight yarn made of: 48% Viscose, 30% Polyester & 22% Nylon. I love the beautiful colors in this collection, though I'll admit that this yarn is kind of stretchy and splitty when crocheting. I wouldn't say it's the easiest yarn to work with due to being both splitty and a bit slippery, which slows me down when I crochet. However, I do love how it looks in as the finished result! It provides clear stitch definition and the amigurumi remains soft instead of too stiff (which I find can happen when using cotton and harder acrylic yarns).
I also used this same yarn for crocheting Catarina's friend, Harvey the Hare!
It is a bit difficult to get your hands on the Comfy Classic yarn, though. If you're looking for other suitable alternatives to use for this pattern, there are definitely more options!
My worsted weight yarn recommendations are:
- Lion Brand Heartland (100% acrylic with beautiful, heathered yarn)
- Lion Brand's 24/7 Cotton Yarn (100% cotton and will produce crisp stitch definition)
- Brava Worsted or Caron Simply Soft (100% acrylic, sturdy, and pretty good bang for your buck!)
