Equinix's London Data Centers: Everything You Need To Know

Equinix is currently the most extensive data centre colocation provider worldwide. It's a digital infrastructure company that specializes in internet connectivity and data centres. They connect industry-leading organizations such as the following across a cloud-first world:

What's an IBX?

Network service providers

They offer connections to multiple peering platforms such as Equinix IX (Equinix Internet Exchange), LINX (London Internet Exchange) and LONAP (London Access Point). They cater to the growing ecosystem of media and entertainment producers and broadcasters. In addition, they interconnect with major digital content networks including, Akamai, Limelight and Level 3, to decrease latency issues and help guarantee user experience.

Financial Services

There are six data centres strategically located close to the centre of Europe's largest financial services market (LD4, LD5, LD6, LD7, LD10, LD13x). These are all secure facilities especially made for leading capital market participants, insurers and electronic payment firms.

It's also home to Europe's largest multilateral trading facility such as BATS Chi-X and the FX Trading system ICAP's EBS venue. In addition, they have a secure and compliant dedicated infrastructure that cuts out risk from the internet and shared networks.
