Star Bear · Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

If you're looking for an instant gratification crochet project that is no-sew and easy, you'll love my newest amigurumi design! It comes with fun, free printables, and is also available as a FREE video tutorial.

Meet... Star Bear!

LINKS

The Star Bear is a fast, easy, and fun no-sew amigurumi pattern that you'll want to make on repeat! It features the cutest mini bear ever, with stubby arms and legs, all crocheted in one piece without any sewing or fastening off until the very end! This pattern makes a great keychain, party favor, last-minute birthday gift, Christmas stocking stuffer, and stock for craft fairs and markets.

Look at how itty bitty they are! Using bulky chenille velvet yarn and a 5mm hook, mine come out to be under 3" tall.

Customization

What's also really fun about this pattern is that it's super customizable! You can simply switch up yarn colors to create different types of bears, such as bears with striped outfits, bears wearing shirts and pants, baby bears wearing diapers, or even panda bears! The PDF pattern includes information on which rounds/places to change colors for the following bears:

Adoption Certificate

Want to complete this little gift with bear-themed gift tags (perfect for general gifting OR for Valentine's Day class gifts)? What about a bear-themed adoption certificate, which makes a perfect adoption station party favor for birthday parties?

Look at how cute these are!

Simply sign up for my mailing list in the form below to download your copy of the free printable, and print it on cardstock paper! It makes a fun and interactive party favor for guests!

Recommended Yarn

This adorable amigurumi is designed with Posh Twist yarn, which is a super plush and soft bulky weight 5 yarn. It works up fast and produces generously-sized amigurumis with fewer stitches compared to thinner yarns! You can also use different yarn colors within the same doll to produce so many unique bears!

While this pattern is designed with plush yarn for that plush, squishy look, it also works great with cotton or acrylic yarns if that’s what you have on hand. Your bear will just end up even smaller, but they'll be the perfect size for a mini keychain, hanging ornament, or bag charm! Simply add clasps and rings with this inexpensive keychain making kit and you can clip your amigurumi onto backpacks, purses, and more.

PDF Pattern

The PDF pattern is printable, ad-free, easy to read, contains helpful photo references, and helps support Sweet Softies!
