Recommended Yarn
This doll was designed using Hobbii's Jade Yarn, which is a medium weight 4 acrylic yarn. One of Jade's most enchanting features is its halo, which lends a delightful fluffy effect to any piece. This soft, fuzzy finish adds a touch of whimsy and warmth! The color palette of Jade is reminiscent of a flourishing garden in springtime. It boasts an array of lively and pastel hues that seamlessly blend into ombre transitions, creating a visually stunning gradient effect.
For this project, any cotton or acrylic yarn would be suitable. Additional worsted weight yarn recommendations of mine include:
- Lion Brand Heartland (100% acrylic with beautiful, heathered yarn)
- Lion Brand's 24/7 Cotton Yarn (100% cotton and will produce crisp stitch definition)
- Brava Worsted or Caron Simply Soft (100% acrylic, sturdy, and pretty good bang for your buck!)
However, you can experiment with different types of fibers for a different look. For instance, using a super bulky weight chenille velvet yarn can create a plush look and a larger doll.
Uses
- Detailed toy set for children to play with
- Selling at craft fairs, markets, or high-end boutiques
- Birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift for toddlers and young children
- Christmas stocking stuffer
