Fox Tail Scarf · Free Crochet Pattern

This one's for the fox lovers! Say hello to my newest FREE crochet pattern: the Fox Tail Scarf!

LINKS

The cute, cozy, and cruelty-free Fox Tail Scarf features a snuggly fox that curls and wraps around you. You can let it sit over your shoulders, or loop the tail through a hidden strap to have the fox "hug" your neck.  Here's a quick look!

Construction

This pattern is almost completely no-sew! You'll only need to sew the ears to the head. The head, body, and tail are all worked in one piece.

Sizing

The size is easily adjustable, and the pattern includes tips on how to increase or decrease the length and width to fit both kids and adults. Otherwise, follow the pattern for a general one-size-fits-most size.

As you can see, this same fox scarf fits both myself and my young daughter!

Colors

This whimsical winter accessory is also customizable by using different yarn colors, so you can make a classic red fox, orange woodland fox, white Arctic fox, grey timber wolf, or more.

Gifting & Selling

This low-sew crochet pattern is perfect as a birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift, or to prep for craft fairs and markets. If you're selling, please remember to credit me as the pattern designer with my name and site, such as: "Pattern design by Sweet Softies, www.sweetsofties.com".

Yarn

This pattern is designed with Hobbii's super bulky weight plush yarn, making it work up quickly while resulting in a soft, velvety texture that will feel heavenly to wear. The exact yarns I like to use from Hobbii include: Baby Snuggle, Honey Bunny, and Toucan.

Other types of super bulky weight 6 plush and blanket yarns can be used as well!

In a nutshell, this pattern is:

  • Quick to work up
  • Low-sew
  • Adjustable in size
  • Customizable with different colors
  • Great for gifting
  • Great as market inventory
  • Available as free and paid written patterns
  • Available as free and paid video tutorials

PDF Pattern

The PDF pattern is printable, ad-free, easy to read, and helps support Sweet Softies! (If you enjoy my free patterns, you can consider it as a donation to me when you buy one of my pattern PDFs! It allows me to maintain my blog and continue sharing more free patterns.)

You can get the PDF pattern from my storeRavelry, or Etsy.
