Printable House Cleaning Checklists

Keeping a clean and organized home can seem overwhelming at first, but if you know which tasks need to be done when and get in a cleaning routine it’s much more manageable.

The act of cleaning can benefit both your mental and physical health. Your stress levels will likely be reduced by having less clutter. Plus, you get physical exercise and burn calories when cleaning or tidying up your home.

To get on a consistent cleaning schedule, and making sure that you don’t forget various chores and tasks that need to be done, use these house cleaning checklists. There are daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual cleaning checklists for you to use. It’s recommended that some of the monthly, seasonal, and annual chores get planned in advance so they aren’t needing to be done over one weekend or a month.

Here are some cleaning tips to help you get these chores done quickly:

  • Listen to a podcast or music when cleaning. It will make doing chores more enjoyable.
  • Clean one room at a time so you don’t feel overwhelmed and can stay structured.
  • If you live with roommates or family members, split the cleaning duties based on preferences.
  • Give cleaning agents time. Spray and let sit for one minute before wiping.
  • Sterilize sponges by placing them in the dishwasher during your next load or microwaving them for a minute.
