Snowflake Queen: Part 2 of 4 (Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern)

PART 2: Legs, Body, Dress Skirt

~ CROCHET INSTRUCTIONS ~


LEGS 

Start with shoe-colored yarn (medium blue). 
R1: In MR, sc 6. (6 sts) 
R2-R3: Sc around. (6 sts) 
Switch to skin-colored yarn (peach). 
R4-R12: (Sc around. (6 sts) 
FO, no need to leave a long tail.



BODY

Note: Finish both legs first. 
R1 (Joining Round): Attach white yarn to the right side of one leg. Sc 3, ch 1, join with a sc in the second leg. Then sc around the 5 sts in that leg. Sc in the ch you made, then sc 3 in the remaining 3 sts of the first leg. (14 sts) 
R2: Inc, sc 2, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 4. (18 sts) 
R3: Sc around. (18 sts) 
R4-R6: Sc around. (18 sts) 
Switch to top-colored yarn (medium blue). 
R7: Sc around. (18 sts) 
R8: (Sc 4, dec) x 3. (15 sts) 
R9: Sc around. (15 sts) 
R10: (Sc 3, dec) x 3. (12 sts) 
R11: Sc around. (12 sts) 
FO with a long tail for sewing later.



DRESS SKIRT 

Note: The dress skirt is divided into three main parts, (1) waistband, (2) underskirt, and (3) overskirt.  Scroll down for the video tutorial for the entire dress skirt.


Part 1: Waistband

Note: Finish the ‘Body’ first. 
Start with the top-colored yarn (medium blue). 
Surface slip stitch between R6-R7 (where the color change is) of the body. 
FO and weave in the ends.

Part 2: Underskirt

Note: Finish the ‘Waistband’ first. Start with the underskirt color (light blue). 
Hold doll upside-down with the legs up. Attach yarn to upper loop of Waistband’s surface sl st on doll’s backside. 
R1: Ch 2, (hdc 5, inc) x 3. *Join with a sl st to the first hdc. (21 sts) 
R2: Ch 2, (hdc 6, inc) x 3. *Join. (24 sts) 
R3: Ch 2, (hdc 7, inc) x 3. *Join. (27 sts) 
R4: Ch 2, (hdc 8, inc) x 3. *Join. (30 sts) 
Switch to frill-colored yarn (white). 
R5: Ch 1, (inc, sl st) around. *Join. 
FO and weave in the ends.

Part 3: Overskirt

Note: Finish the ‘Underskirt’ first. Overskirt will be worked back and forth in rows in the loops that were created from the surface sl st on the body. Do not join. 
Hold doll upside-down with legs up. Attach dark blue yarn to lower loop of the Waistband’s surface sl st in doll’s front side, at the center. 
R1: Ch 2, (hdc 4, inc) around. Hdc in remaining sts of this row. 
R2: Ch 2, turn. (Hdc 5, inc) around. Hdc in remaining sts of this row. 
R3: Ch 2, turn. (Hdc 6, inc) around. Hdc in remaining sts of this row. 
R4: Ch 2, turn. (Hdc 7, inc) around. Hdc in remaining sts of this row. 
R5: Ch 2, turn. (Hdc 8, inc) around. Hdc in remaining sts of this row. 
FO and weave in the ends.
