Sweet Softies | Amigurumi and Crochet

Powered by Blogger.

Good day, fellow crafters!

Are you looking for a lovely accessory for the autumn and winter seasons?  If so, try out Kana the Wanderer's Cowl!  This original design of mine is perfect for exploring and enjoying the changing seasons outdoors!

This cowl is soft and has a wonderful drape. It isn’t too heavy nor light, and it isn’t too tight nor loose.  It takes up two regular skeins of worsted-weight yarn.  (I recommend Lionbrand's Heartland yarn for its beautiful colors!)

Without further ado, I present to you: Kana the Wanderer's Cowl!

Dear fellow crocheters,

If you're wondering how to add blush to your amigurumi dolls, I'd love to share with you my method of doing so!  It's super quick and easy, and I use actual blush powder to dab it onto my art dolls.  Check out my video tutorial below to learn how I apply it to my little model, Emerie the Emerald Princess!

I hope you will find this tutorial to be helpful!

For more written tips and instructions, check out this blog post on Adding Blush to Amigurumi.

If you have any thoughts, comments, or even photos of your work, I'd love to see!  Hope to hear from you!

Warmly,

Emerie the Emerald Princess is a member of Sweet Softies’ Darling Dolls Series.  This pattern provides instructions for crocheting Emerie, a beautiful young princess wearing a removable royal crown and a long-sleeved dress that goes down to her ankles.  She is a very sweet girl and can easily be customized using different yarn colors and added embellishments, such as buttons, lace, appliques, and more.  She makes a lovely gift for little girls, who can have lots of fun styling her hair as well!

Check out her preview video below~

Some tidbits about Emerie!

  • Emerie’s favorite activities include gardening and taking a walk or reading books in her flower garden.
  • Emerie practices good manners and tries to be polite at all times.
  • Emerie’s favorite quote is: “Kindness is the sunshine in which all virtue grows.” – Robert Green Ingersoll

Video tutorials for attaching hair, styling the hair, and adding blush to the doll are also available on the Sweet Softies Youtube Channel.

This 16-page PDF pattern includes complete written instructions with accompanying photo references for crocheting this doll in its entirety.
