My Biggest Amigurumi to Date! (A Jumbo-Sized Bunny!)

Standing at 21 inches in height, this bunny is my biggest amigurumi to date!  Most of my stuffed dolls, animals, and toys average around six to nine inches, so this massive bunny blows them all out of the water.

She's quite a hefty one too, and I notice that immediately when I pick her up.  She consists of quite a large amount of stuffing, as well as 4.5 skeins of Red Heart Grande yarn, which is Jumbo weight 7 yarn.  The breakdown by color was 3 full skeins of the Aran white color, more than half a skein of light pink, and about a half-skein of dark pink.

I have never crocheted dolls or toys with such thick yarns before, so it took some getting-used-to to try it out with a large, 6.00mm hook!  It was quite a good workout for my arm too, as all the movements seemed exaggerated!

Anyhow, it was a very fun project, and didn't take too long either, especially for a finished object of her size.  There actually weren't a whole ton of stitches and rows in total, so it's considered a faster project to whip up.

If you're interested in crocheting a Jumbo bunny of your own (and the cute, baby bunny she is holding), please stay tuned for a written pattern!

Happy crocheting, all!
